ABOUT US

The Women's Auxiliary originated in the 1950's and continues to work along side The Salvation Army to help our neighbors in need.

Mission Statement

Women's Auxiliary upholds the mission of The Salvation Army while supporting the programs of The Salvation Army with our time, talents and treasures.

Women's Auxiliary helps build community relationships and offers compassion and hope.

Women's Auxiliary is compromised of women with hearts for service.

Our Story

The history of the Women's Auxiliary originated in the 1950's. The wives of the Advisory Board began by serving as an arm of the board. They personally assisted young unwed mothers with the tasks at hand. Shortly after, TSA purchased and developed the property where the Door of Hope is now. The Women's Auxiliary of SD county enhances TSA programs through fundraising, donations, advocacy and hands on volunteers efforts; and in turn, help those in crisis - to heal, to develop emotionally and spiritually, and to learn new skills.

Who We Are

  • Women's Auxiliary is only as strong and vibrant as our member's involvement. Whether joining with dues only or becoming active, your membership make the good works of our organization possible. In whatever volunteer capacity you are able to serve, we are truly grateful.
